About The Position

Responsible for servicing all types of insurance/accident claims along with payment security protection claims. Participates in the research and processing of all weekly and monthly insurance billings. Verifies collateral secured loans to ensure the proper loan documents are uploaded for GAP, payment security protection along with collateral being listed correctly. Position requires helping front office staff with questions to ensure the members are taken care of with any questions or concerns on coverages for PSP, GAP, or Collateral Coverage. A person in this position needs to be able to handle difficult conversations.

Requirements

  • Must be bondable.

  • Word processing and spreadsheet skills.
  • Ability to meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines, and cope with interruptions.
  • Self-motivated, and ability to work independently or closely with co-workers.
  • Ability to deal positively, though firmly, with irate members.
  • Work must be accurate 95% of the time.
  • Able to communicate well verbally and written.
  • Able to follow instructions.
  • Must have strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Must be reliable.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Keyboard proficiency; typing speed 30 WPM.
  • Ability to hear by telephone and in person.
  • Ability to read English by sight; and both speak and write English.

  • Preferred one year of insurance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Data Entry and Posting - Post insurance claim checks, GAP coverage, CPI premiums, TruStage, unemployment, disability, and life payments to member accounts, HMI, CPI charges along with refunds. Plus, enter appropriate data when needed.
  • Billing – Process all reports and billings PSP, CPI and GAP. Verify account numbers, adjust for premium costs, and record adjustments.
  • Member Services - Help members over the telephone with problems, questions, and filing claims. Verify with insurance agent or State National as needed.
  • Processing- Process all consumer loans daily. Checking for the correct PSP Option and fees, GAP, collateral description, and joint borrower.
  • Other-Work with Manager and Collections as needed for any Insurance Deficiency balances.
  • Process GAP insurance; applications, cancellations, request refunds, and claims.
  • Update loan files with most current information through On-Base/Unity.
  • GL balancing.
  • Assist members and RCCU employees.
  • Sort all incoming insurance, Home Mortgage and RELN Insurance mail and forward insurance policies/cancellations to State National.
  • Work State National Reports Weekly along with contracting members.
  • Request loan payment adjustments as needed due to CPI premiums and return premiums; do loan modifications as applicable.
  • Work accident reports, process insurance checks and follow up where and when needed to complete a claim process.
  • File and process life claims, only if loan related.
  • File disability, unemployment claims.
  • Process the weekly CPI billing, weekly CPI Refund billing.
  • Process 100% of the previous days loan applications, checking for correct PSP Options, GAP, and the collateral description, joint borrower.
  • Process life and disability insurance programs and billings.
  • Perform this position with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
  • Process insurance checks as received daily.
  • Check & follow up on all missing loans and send appropriate corrections.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager and lead employees.
  • Help front office staff with situations as they come up.
