About The Position

The Auto Club Group is seeking an Insurance Service Representative who will provide a high level of support to the Insurance Agency and members by servicing existing insurance accounts. The representative will perform retention calls, process applications, renewals, amendments, resolve customer problems, as well as selling membership and financial products (credit cards). Responsibilities include providing price quotes on all insurance products, taking insurance payments, responding to customer inquiries, and promoting cross-sale opportunities. The role requires participation in office events to generate insurance revenue and improve member awareness of products.

Requirements

  • A Current Property & Casualty Insurance license.
  • Successful completion of Customer Service, Insurance and Membership training within 6 months of hire.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in providing high level of customer-focused service.
  • Experience in servicing insurance policies and processing applications, renewals, and amendments.
  • Ability to process monetary transactions and take payments.
  • Ability to promote the sales of insurance products and services.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of insurance terminology and general insurance regulations.
  • Experience with insurance systems and/or membership systems (e.g., PPS, POS, IMS, IPM).
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high level of support to the Insurance Agency and members by servicing existing insurance accounts.
  • Perform retention calls, process applications, renewals, amendments, and resolve customer problems.
  • Sell membership and financial products (credit cards).
  • Provide price quotes on all insurance products and factor in all applicable rules and discounts.
  • Take insurance payments (initial, installment, lapse, or reinstatement).
  • Respond to customers’ insurance inquiries and explain product features.
  • Recognize and promote cross-sale opportunities.
  • Conduct outbound promotional and retention call activities.
  • Participate in a team environment to promote customer satisfaction.
  • Receive and resolve member/customer complaints.
  • Fulfill, maintain and service insurance policies.
  • Prepare insurance proposals, policy changes, transfers, and billing clarification.
  • Contact members regarding renewal of delinquent memberships and late premium payments.
  • Verify new business applications.
  • Process insurance and membership payments.
  • Update electronic member information.
