About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Insurance Sales Specialist that will grow our UHCU Insurance Services, LLC insurance agency! You will be responsible for the production of new insurance agency business while providing ongoing exceptional service to our existing members/clients. This position offers highly incentivized earnings (no cap or commission limits) for someone who is goal-oriented. This position requires the ability to build rapport with our members to truly understand their needs and match them with the best solutions. You should have experience working with multiple, independent carriers and be proficient in most Texas policy coverages. You must have an active Property & Casualty License in the State of Texas. Under the direction of the Insurance Services Manager, you will be responsible for responding to inbound transfers from individuals interested in obtaining insurance quotes, managing outbound follow-up calls, handling web applications and internal referrals, scheduling appointments, identifying customer needs, and marketing appropriate products. In this role, you will: Prospect, develop, solicit and follow-up on referrals and leads from market development over the phone. Develop and manage an active pipeline of qualified prospects within agency customer relationship management (CRM) system Maximize and maintain insurance portfolio growth. Maintain a working relationship with UHCU staff as required to close inbound sales from leads generated. Develop rapport with clients based on service and product knowledge. Generate leads from personal contacts, various internal referrals, cold calling, and client referrals. Respond to prospects/clients with quotes for business solicited within 24 hours of application. Provide rate quotes and coverage information specific to the client's needs. Learn and apply product, industry, and market knowledge to make professional recommendations to prospects and policyholders.

Requirements

  • Ability to provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service on a daily basis.
  • Effective networking and relationship skills.
  • Energetic, self-motivated and possess the desire for success and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to manage a high lead volume in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of organizational ability.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Property, Casualty, Auto, Home, and/or Life insurance sales with successful track record of meeting sales goals/quotas.
  • Minimum 1 year demonstrated experience with CRM systems.
  • Must have a license to sell Property and Casualty Insurance in the State of Texas within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Active license to sell Life and Health Insurance in the state of Texas preferred.
  • Prior financial institution experience preferred.
  • Experience with EZLynx preferred.
  • Experience with navigating independent insurance carrier websites such as Progressive, Travelers, Nation Wide, Liberty Mutual, etc. preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  • 2+ years' clerical, customer service, and/or sales experience.
  • 1 year sales experience in a financial institution or independent insurance agency.
  • Experience with Symitar.
  • Experience with EZLynx.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
