The Insurance Risk Manager at PayPal will play a pivotal role in supporting the Corporate Risk Management function, focusing on the delivery and continuous improvement of top-tier risk management insurance programs and services. This position will work closely with the Senior Director of Insurance & Risk Management to enhance the global risk management strategy, which includes the design and placement of various insurance programs and policies, managing captive insurance company operations, overseeing claims management, and maintaining broker and insurer relations. The role also involves conducting contract reviews and establishing third-party insurance requirements, as well as engaging with Corporate Development teams on acquisition-related initiatives. The Insurance Risk Manager will consult with business partners to address issues and inquiries related to risk management and insurance programs, ensuring that all aspects of risk are effectively managed and communicated. In this role, the Insurance Risk Manager will collaborate with various departments, including Legal, Finance, Corporate Accounting, Business Development, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), to support Risk Management initiatives. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying trends, developing strategic plans, and implementing risk reduction methodologies to mitigate future losses. The Insurance Risk Manager will also be responsible for preparing loss analyses and budgets, identifying exposures, and recommending solutions to promote loss prevention. This role is essential in ensuring that PayPal's risk management practices are robust and aligned with the company's overall objectives, ultimately contributing to the safety and security of its operations and stakeholders.
