About The Position

The Personal Lines Account Manager is a key member of our independent insurance agency, specializing in managing and servicing personal lines insurance accounts. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, assessing their personal insurance needs, and ensuring their policies are accurately maintained. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of personal lines insurance, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to navigate insurance systems efficiently.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Personal Lines Account Manager or in a similar customer service role within the insurance industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of personal lines insurance products, coverage options, and underwriting processes.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License

Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients with personal lines insurance needs.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with clients through effective communication and responsiveness.
  • Insurance Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' personal insurance needs, including auto, home, renters, and other personal lines coverage.
  • Analyze existing policies to identify gaps or areas for improvement.
  • Policy Administration: Process new policy applications, endorsements, and renewals accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure all policy documentation is complete and delivered to clients in a timely manner.
  • Coverage Recommendations: Provide expert advice on coverage options and enhancements based on clients' individual needs.
  • Educate clients on available discounts and savings opportunities.
  • Claims Assistance: Assist clients in the event of a claim, serving as a liaison between the client and the claims department.
  • Monitor and track the claims process to ensure timely resolution and client satisfaction.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and address potential risks for clients, offering risk management advice and solutions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and changes that may impact personal lines coverage.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on personal lines insurance products, carriers, and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with underwriters to obtain competitive quotes and coverage options.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, policy details, and communication history.
  • Provide regular reports on client interactions and policy performance.
