About The Position

Sentara Health Plans is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as an Insurance Premium Payment Associate. This position is full-time with a day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday. The position is located in Virginia Beach, VA, with a hybrid work schedule available after successful completion of onsite training for up to 4 weeks. The associate will respond to record and process telephonic payment inquiries, taking both initial and ongoing payments for insurance products while maintaining a high level of customer service. The role requires working in multiple computer programs simultaneously and managing changing volume demands of the call center.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-year customer service experience required.
• Computer skills and strong verbal skills in English required.
• Experience in a call center preferred.
• Detail-oriented.
• Healthcare environment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to telephonic payment inquiries.
• Process initial and ongoing payments for insurance products.
• Maintain a high level of customer service.
• Work in multiple computer programs at a time.
• Manage changing volume demands of the call center.
