Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
  • Minimum five (5) year’s billing experience in an appropriate clinical care setting or home health environment preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Accounting practices or experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day leadership and operational oversight of the insurance team
  • Review and process identified payor change requests; audit for accuracy and completeness
  • Review and audit coverage changes via daily, weekly, and monthly report/programs.
  • Provide maintenance support for program needs
  • Develops, implements and maintains departmental policies, procedures and workflows to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Support internal and external audits related to insurance, authorization, and billing practices.
