About The Position

Intuitive Machines is seeking an experienced Insurance Manager to oversee the corporate insurance programs throughout the organization and support strategic decision-making through risk analysis and insurance expertise. This role is responsible for identifying and mitigating financial, operational, legal and other risks across the organization through the placement of appropriate insurance policies. This role is to be based in our corporate headquarters located in Houston, Texas.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
  • Bachelors degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in corporate insurance, risk management, brokerage or related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s insurance strategies to ensure comprehensive and cost-effective risk protection.
  • Lead the renewal process for all corporate insurance policies, including data collection, risk assessments and negotiations with brokers and carriers to optimize cost and coverage.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align insurance coverages with business needs and risk appetite
  • Oversee the claims management processes, ensuring timely reporting, tracking and resolution
  • Conduct exposure analysis and benchmarking to maintain appropriate coverage and competitive pricing
  • Monitor regulatory and market developments affecting insurance programs, particularly in key markets
  • Advise business leadership on insurance and risk considerations for new vendors or expanded operations
  • Management relationships with insurance brokers, carriers, underwriters and other related service providers.
  • Maintain accurate records of insurance policies, certificates, endorsements, claims; handle insurance-related administrative tasks.
  • Provide regular reports to executive management regarding insurance performance, coverage adequacy, claims status and risk exposure.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
