The Howden Capital Markets & Advisory (HCMA) team is a leading risk, capital, and strategic advisor to the global insurance and reinsurance industries. Founded in 2015, HCMA is recognized as one of the premier insurance-focused investment banking groups in the industry. The team covers a broad range of insurance carrier and insurance services companies, offering expertise in M&A, capital raising, general strategic advice, and Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS). The Analyst will play an integral role in supporting the HCMA team, predominantly focusing on insurance-linked securities offerings. This includes preparing investor presentations and offering memos, transaction reviews, and financial modeling. The Analyst will also be involved in other financial advisory services for clients, which may include advisory work and private capital raising. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyze, structure, and execute securities transactions, including Cat Bond issuance, (re)insurance sidecars, fundraising, and other collateralized risk transfer solutions. In addition to transaction support, the Analyst will prepare marketing documents and client presentations, conduct research, and perform various analyses to support new business generation. The position offers the opportunity to develop and present materials for new ILS transactions and clients, assist in creating detailed models to evaluate performance under different scenarios, and prepare presentation materials for client meetings covering strategic alternatives and capital markets activity. The Analyst will leverage tools such as FactSet, Bloomberg, and S&P Capital IQ to drive market intelligence and analysis.
