The purpose of this position is to teach 40 hours of livestream/ classroom Insurance pre-licensing content created by Hondros Learning. Help students understand material by answering questions and leading students through lessons. Adjunct faculty occasionally assists with updating course content when needed. There may be a few additional assignments such as filming instructional content videos to enhance the online student experience.

Requirements

  • Active Insurance License for 5 years or more
  • Teaching/training experience in the field of Insurance a plus!

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience teaching pre-license courses in the state of licensure
  • Livestream teaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Instruct assigned courses according to the course plan
  • Actively engage with students whether teaching in the classroom, via webinar or on-line
  • Review class syllabus insuring that follows the designed curriculum plan and explains course requirements
  • Designs and implements teaching strategies that will assist the student in meeting course objectives
  • Recommends strategies for success and tutor’s students to assist them in meeting course objectives
  • Mentors students and tracks student performance issues
  • Records students' attendance and grades
  • Participates in faculty curriculum and ad-hoc meetings
