About The Position

As our Insurance Discovery Specialist, you will support R1’s Insurance Discovery product and a growing client base by verifying and loading platform-discovered patient insurance coverage into R1 and client host systems—improving billing accuracy, reducing denials, and increasing revenue recovery. You will manage a coverage work queue, research eligibility, coordinate with payers and provider teams, update patient records, and follow client SOPs/documentation while maintaining HIPAA compliance. You’ll also support metrics/reporting, recommend process and product improvements, and serve as a liaison between clients and internal coverage loading teams by leading training, updating documentation, and translating client/Product/Operations requests into clear, consistent coverage loading workflows. To thrive in this role, your background must include: Revenue cycle experience (eligibility & denials preferred) Powerful attention to detail and documentation skills Proficiency with Excel is required; willingness to learn basic SQL (training is provided) Collaborative, flexible mindset; be comfortable with change and occasional extended hours Results-driven and motivated with a strong drive to succeed and a follow-through mindset Reliable, engaged, and committed to process and product improvement and client outcomes Highly collaborative and enjoys partnering across teams Strong learning mindset—curious, adaptable, and eager to build new skills For this US-based position, the base pay range is $46,586.59 - $66,107.05 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
