About The Position

This position is a virtual role handling cases venued throughout the El Paso, TX and Las Cruces, NM areas. While candidates in the El Paso area are preferred, we are open to candidates statewide who are comfortable traveling to in-person appearances as required. The role involves the competent, ethical, and diligent representation of clients in all cases assigned by the supervisor, which can involve all areas of tort practice. You will be responsible for handling matters of moderate to great complexity and/or exposure, and may assist in the handling of cases assigned to other attorneys. As a Trial Attorney, you will handle cases with unique legal or procedural issues involving moderate to severe injuries and/or damages. This includes preparation of pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs, as well as attendance at hearings, conferences, interviews, trials, or arbitrations. You will also functionally supervise attorneys who have been requested to assist you in the handling of particular cases. It is essential to keep your supervisor informed of the work being done for clients and of any problems encountered. Additionally, you will maintain and update computerized litigation support systems for your assigned caseloads and perform other functions as assigned.
