About The Position
The Insurance Defense Attorney position at DL Group, LLC is a full-time role based in the West Palm Beach office of a boutique and reputable insurance defense litigation law firm. The firm is seeking a highly-skilled and motivated attorney with a minimum of 1 year of Florida litigation experience. This position is strictly in-office, meaning it is not remote or hybrid, and the firm is open to considering brand new first-year attorneys as well. The ideal candidate will possess between 1 to 5 years of experience in various practice areas relevant to Florida law, including but not limited to plaintiff's personal injury, insurance defense litigation, bodily injury defense, first-party property claims, wrongful death, car accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability, negligent security, medical malpractice, toxic torts, general liability, construction accidents, and products liability. In this role, the attorney will be responsible for defending high-value cases from the initial pleadings stage through to depositions, mediations, and trials. Strong research and writing skills are essential, particularly with tools such as WestLaw and Lexis. The attorney will be expected to meet with clients, respond to demand letters, prepare for court hearings, draft substantive motions, and write detailed legal memos and status reports for carriers. Additionally, the attorney will engage in settlement negotiations and manage all files assigned to them. The firm values detail-oriented, independent, organized individuals who can effectively multi-task. Experience with billable hours is considered a plus.
