About The Position

This employee works the company's Insurance Eligibility Queue, which identifies when a patient's insurance has termed, as well as any issues with insurance. Works to ensure that the patient's health care benefits cover the required DME equipment Required to contact a patient's insurance company to verify coverage levels, deductibles, and out of pocked expenses for DME coverage Working directly with our patients may be required Enter data in an accurate manner Update patient benefit information in the insurance system and verify the existing information is accurate Requires the specialist to spend extensive amounts of time on the phone with insurance companies and/or patients

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with insurance companies preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of different types of coverage and policies
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized to maintain accurate patient insurance records
  • Must have the ability to focus and work quickly
  • Must work well with others
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 1--2 years experience working with patient billing preferred
