About The Position

The Insurance Customer Service Representative (located in our Chatsworth Corporate offices) will provide service to Premier America members for insurance products offered by the credit union and assure the success and growth of the Insurance Services Department.

Requirements

  • Previous experience with and thorough understanding of the insurance products sold, and the terminology used in the industry.
  • Requires and maintains an active P&C insurance license clear of judgements in the states where the credit union conducts business.
  • Understands product positioning and competitive conditions.
  • Knowledge of Credit Union products and services.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques and principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and public relations skills.
  • Excellent sales abilities, with solid presentation skills.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Good problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work well independently.

Responsibilities

  • Assumes responsibility for providing service to members that are insurance policy holders with the credit union, assuring department procedures are followed and goals are achieved.
  • Maintains a complete understanding of the insurance products offered, educates members on the value of the products and be capable of issuing new insurance policies on the platform of all the appointed carriers.
  • Performs policy reviews and policy rewrites to offer the best possible solution for members and the credit union.
  • Uses the Carriers and credit union underwriting guidelines and business appetite to complete policy endorsements and cross sell other suitable products to members.
  • Conducts every member interaction following the procedures, standards and playbook of the Property Insurance Department.
  • Assumes responsibility for member service transactions including, but not limited to policy changes, inquiries, payments, quotes and endorsements of policies.
  • Completes all tasks assigned in the daily suspense queue by the end of each workday.
  • Documents all interactions with members and insurance prospects in CMS agency management system and set suspense for follow up.
