About The Position
The Tampa, FL office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an attorney to join its Insurance Coverage Practice. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in insurance coverage analysis and litigation. The firm is recognized as a leader in the area of insurance coverage and claims, focusing on interpreting contracts and representing insurers in complex coverage claims. The role involves monitoring, mediations, arbitrations, and declaratory relief litigation in both state and federal courts across the United States. The firm represents a diverse clientele, including primary and excess insurers, reinsurers, third-party administrators, managing general agents, insurance brokers and agents, and independent adjustment companies. Collectively, the attorneys at Lewis Brisbois have experience in virtually every line of business, making this an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development. The ideal candidate will possess between two (2) to seven (7) years of experience in analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions, particularly in first-party property and general liability matters. Candidates should have substantial litigation experience, which includes taking depositions, attending court hearings, and drafting and arguing motions. Strong research and writing skills are essential for success in this role. Admission to the Florida Bar is a requirement for this position. While experience in insurance law is preferred, the firm is also open to developing talented attorneys who demonstrate excellent skills in any litigation arena.
