This position as an Insurance Counselor I at DaVita involves acting as a liaison between patients, facility teammates, billing office, and the corporate office to resolve patient insurance issues and/or concerns. The role requires providing education and guidance to DaVita patients about health insurance and the implications of different insurance options, including Chronic Special Needs Plan, Medicare, and Medicare Advantage. The counselor will proactively build relationships with patients and clinical/regional resources, partner with Social Workers, and provide a high level of customer service. The role also involves managing and updating tracking tools, reviewing trends, and compiling monthly reports.
