About The Position
To facilitate a positive patient experience as well as proper billing procedures, by performing insurance verification and authorization on all accounts supported by Central Registration/Scheduling, including but not limited to, all inpatient admissions, and other ancillary department registrations as identified. Provide all input and output accounts registered as assigned. Initiate the authorization process and referral and notify physician as needed. Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA as well as Waterbury Hospital's Compliance and Privacy standards as well as all other corporate policies and procedures. There is the potential of remote work availability.
