About The Position
Friedwald Center for Nursing & Rehab is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Insurance & Billing Coordinator to join our team. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the financial health of our facility through effective management of insurance billing processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and various insurance verification processes. The role involves sending out bills, posting Medicaid and Medicare remittances, entering diagnoses, and managing ancillary billing services. The Insurance & Billing Coordinator will also be responsible for following up on unpaid claims to ensure proper financial reimbursement from insurance companies, which is vital for maintaining the operational efficiency of our nursing home and rehabilitation center. In addition to billing responsibilities, the coordinator will be tasked with obtaining, updating, and tracking insurance authorizations for patients. This requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The successful candidate will collaborate with team members to complete projects and ensure that all billing processes are handled in a timely and accurate manner. This position is not only about managing numbers but also about ensuring that our patients receive the care they need without financial barriers.
