About The Position

Join our Referrals team as a full-time Insurance Authorization Specialist! Location: Vancouver Innovation Center (18110 SE 34th St - Vancouver, WA 98683) Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00a-5:00p. Hybrid after successful training period of 3-6 months. Hiring Range: generally between $20.05-$24.05 and placement in the range depends on an evaluation of experience Position Summary: The Insurance Authorization Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate processing of all referral requests in a timely and professional manner. The Insurance Authorization Specialist will represent TVC in a positive, courteous, and compassionate manner and aid in the delivery of high-quality health care to all patients. Must have excellent attendance! Consistent, dependable, and predictable attendance is crucial in helping us fulfill our mission of providing high-quality, compassionate care. We require our employees to adhere to our attendance standards, as frequent deviations make it difficult to provide care for our patients and support our coworkers. Vancouver Clinic provides care across a wide range of medical decisions. This includes care and opinions on vaccinations, reproductive health, end-of-life decision-making, and gender affirming treatment. The ability to work, with or without reasonable accommodation, with a diverse population of patients and colleagues seeking or considering care in all areas in an essential function of all positions at the Clinic.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in either a medical office setting or in the health insurance industry required.
• Demonstrated experience in insurance requirements for referrals.
• Excellent customer service and telephone skills required.
• Understanding of medical terminology required.
• Must have reliable and predictable attendance.

• Associates Degree preferred.
