About The Position

Optavise, a CNO Financial Group Company is seeking an OCA Compliance Agent. This role is responsible for the management of all compliance-related situations at both the policyholder and the agent level for the Optavise Career Agency within the Worksite Division. As an OCA Compliance Analyst your responsibilities will include: Analyzing our business and ensure that we are operating in compliance with all local, state and federal insurance guidelines. Assessing potential issues tied to downgrades, replacements or agent behaviors. Conducting research around products, policies and processes to educate independent contractor field agent force and internal agency staff on compliance matters Responsible for reviewing all responses to customer and Department of Insurance inquiries for proper and complete responses by field representatives. Collaborating with senior management as well as other involved parties within the enterprise (SIU, Legal, New Business, Claims, Agent Compliance) to ensure that resolutions are gained to every issue. Developing internal controls and policies to ensure that all agency compliance needs are met. Author and publish compliance related correspondence to our independent contractor agents. Monitoring all agency business for downgrading and/or replacement of business with reporting and management communication of same to field upline hierarchies. Conducting compliance briefings at agency meetings and training events. Topics included in briefings are focused on frequently observed compliance issues that arise in our business and counseling of independent contractor field agents on how to properly address issues and avoid problems from a compliance perspective. Completing compliance counseling sessions with agents to ensure they understand issues and correct behavior ongoing. Managing process of DOI required agent training (i.e., AML) as well as process of issuance and acceptance of OCA Agency agreements as needed to ensure every agent has completed and signed as required. Managing process of bonus exception requests in terms of collecting requests, obtaining internal senior management approval and communication between the field and internal agency bonuses team to ensure accurate tracking and payment of bonuses to the field. The OCA Compliance Analyst position is well-suited for someone with: Insurance industry knowledge with focus on hierarchal-driven agency operations Solid understanding of all policies, processes, and products offered by the Agency. Deep knowledge of compliance regulations Expertise in detailed research with thorough understanding of all products, policies and processes both within the enterprise and in the sales field Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Critical thinking is crucial to success. Must utilize rational and clear thinking in analyzing data and issues Strong problem-solving skills Creativity in generating solutions to compliance issues

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any field of study or;
  • Related Work Experience: minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance operations

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications/Licenses: LOMA AIRC: Associate, Insurance Regulatory Compliance, Agent License
  • Related Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in legal or compliance arena
  • Extensive CNO Operations experience
