About The Position

The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring the following for an outage in the Orange, Texas area: INSULATOR 7 x 10's. Successful candidates will have continuous and current experience as an Insulator in a petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment. NCCER certification for Insulator is preferred, but not required.

Requirements

• Continuous and current experience as an Insulator in a petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to measure and cut insulation material accurately
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe, efficient manner
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
• Craft certified or ability to pass a craft test
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen

• NCCER certification for Insulator

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and select required insulation material
• Brush adhesives on or attach metal adhesive backed pins to surfaces as necessary to facilitate the application of insulation material
• Measure and cut insulation material to specified size and shape for covering flat or round surfaces, using tape measure, knife, or scissors
• Fit, wrap, or attach required insulation material around or to structure, following blueprint specifications
• Cover or seal insulation with preformed plastic covers, canvas strips, sealant, or tape to secure insulation to the structure according to type of insulation used and structure covered
• May be required to screw on sheet metal around insulated pipes to protect the insulation from weather conditions or physical abuse
