About The Position

The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring the following for a maintenance position in the Texas City, Texas area: MULTI-CRAFT INSULATOR 4 x 10's, OT as needed Multi-Craft [Must be able to help insulation, paint, carpentry, scaffold, etc.] Successful candidates will have continuous and current experience as an Insulator in a petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment. NCCER certification for Insulator is preferred, but not required. The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all time. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe, efficient manner. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required. Requirements

Must be able to help insulation, paint, carpentry, scaffold, etc.
Successful candidates will have continuous and current experience as an Insulator in a petrochemical, industrial, or manufacturing environment.
Must be able to wear respiratory equipment when required.

Nice To Haves

NCCER certification for Insulator is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints and select required insulation material
Brush adhesives on or attach metal adhesive backed pins to surfaces as necessary to facilitate the application of insulation material
Other forms of fastening may involve staples, tape, or wire bands
Measure and cut insulation material to specified size and shape for covering flat or round surfaces, using tape measure, knife, or scissors
Fit, wrap, or attach required insulation material around or to structure, following blueprint specifications
Cover or seal insulation with preformed plastic covers, canvas strips, sealant, or tape to secure insulation to the structure according to type of insulation used and structure covered.
May be required to screw on sheet metal around insulated pipes to protect the insulation from weather conditions or physical abuse
