The Role The Insulator/Metal Man (Apprentice/Journeyman) will be working in an industrial setting installing/removing various types of insulation and jacketing on piping and equipment. Must be able to maintain an orderly in-field stock of materials, deliver materials to work stations in a prompt and precise manner, insulate basic piping configurations and tanks, pumps, valves and flanges. Rate will depend on experience.

Requirements

  • Industrial Construction Experience in a fast-paced business environment is a plus
  • High school and or trade school required.
  • Must put safety above all
  • NCCER certification/or equivalent work experience.
  • TWIC card required (Transportation worker Identification card)
  • 4+ years industrial experience.
  • Must be able to understand and communicate in English
  • Ability to perform work in industrial facilities in extreme ambient conditions including climbing staircases, ladders or

Nice To Haves

  • SCADA, PLC and Control Automation i.e. Energy Management Controls will take preference.
  • Proven history of leading, teaching, developing, and mentoring others successfully is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and personal skills

Responsibilities

  • Correctly install metal on all piping, ells, tanks, tees, valves and flanges to THTS quality standards for weatherproofing and heat retention.
  • Unload delivery trucks.
  • Lay out and install gored ells, vessel heads, pumps, irregular shapes and unequal tees.
  • Install EMT & Rigid including bends.
  • Assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Performing maintenance and repair of electrical, interior, and exterior electrical components.
  • Available for Schooling and training.
  • Have your own hand tools.
