As an Insulator Journeyperson, you will:

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability to read and comprehend specifications and drawings
  • Knowledge of piping systems and layout patterns
  • 3+ years of experience in insulation work on military or commercial vessels

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with insulation materials and techniques
  • Knowledge of shipyard operations and safety protocols

Responsibilities

  • Install and remove insulation on ship components, including bulkheads, overheads, piping systems, and machinery
  • Measure, cut, and fabricate insulation materials to reduce heat loss, prevent moisture condensation, and deaden sound
  • Perform related tasks as assigned
