INSULATOR EXPERIENCED
About The Position
The candidate will remove, repair, and install various types of insulation; including fiberglass, calcium silicate, and rubatex from piping systems, ventilation systems, and various components and structures through out the ship. Candidate may also remove/install floor tiling. Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking qualified insulators, with 2+ years of hands on Insulation work experience. Requirements
- Must be able to perform kneeling, squatting, crawling, bending, stooping, and climbing on a daily basis.
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
- Must be able to perform overhead work.
- Must be able to be clean shaven to wear a respirator.
- Must be able to perform work outdoors, year- round, in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to work at extreme heights.
- Must be able to work in small, tight, confined spaces.
- Must be able to work any shift to accommodate production needs.
- 2+ years of hands on Insulation work experience

- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
