About The Position
A-Lert Construction Services, a division of Centurion Industries, Inc., is seeking experienced insulators to join our team in Decatur, IL. The primary responsibility of this role is to cover boilers, pipes, and tanks with insulating materials such as fiberglass, cork, and plastic. This insulation work is crucial for reducing heat loss or absorption, preventing moisture condensation, and deadening sound. Insulators will be expected to follow logical step-by-step procedures to complete tasks, visualize solid objects from flat drawings, and perform a variety of duties that may change frequently. The role requires making judgments based on data and adapting to different work conditions. The physical demands of the job include climbing and maintaining balance on ladders and scaffolds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Workers must be able to work in hot areas and high places, lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more, and work skillfully with their hands. Successful candidates will be team players who can follow both spoken and written instructions effectively. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with the ability to communicate clearly and follow directions.
