About The Position

Journeyman (usually 3 years and above documented field experience). Adheres and cuts as per site specifications. Responsible for general cleaning of fabrication area. Must be able to follow instruction and be able to read/follow prints for the install/dismantle of insulation and metal shielding of piping and other equipment.

Responsibilities

• CUT INSULATION TO SPECIFIED SIZE USING ELECTRIC BANDSAWS AND ABRASIVE WHEELS.
• ADHERE INSULATION MATERIAL TO PROPER SIZE AND ANGLES USING ADHESIVE PRIOR TO CUTTING.
• LOAD FINISHED INSULATION PIECES IN BOXES TO BE SENT TO ORDER SITE.
• RETRIEVE NECESSARY SUPPLIES FROM WAREHOUSE USING FORKLIFT TO TRANSPORT.
• MUST READ AND WRITE TO FOLLOW ORDER SPECIFICATIONS AND TO LABEL FINISHED PRODUCT.
• UTILIZE BASIC MATH SKILLS TO FOLLOW ORDER SPECIFICATIONS.
• CAPABLE OF VERBAL OR WRITTEN COMMUNCATION WITH OTHERS REGARDING JOB TASKS AND WORK PROCEDURES.
• RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING OF AREA AFTER CUTTING.
• RESPONSIBLE FOR CHECKING OPERATIONAL CONDITION OF EQUIPMENT PRIOR TO USE AND PERFORMING REGULAR MAINTENANCE AS NEEDED (i.e., LUBRICANT, CHANGING BLADES, ETC.)
• FOLLOWS SAFETY REGULATIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS AS OUTLINED BY COMPANY REGARDING HANDLING OF MATERIALS AND OPERATION OF EQUIPMENT.
