What you’ll do : - Work with a skilled maintenance team to install, maint ain , troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and control equipment used in power generation . Work throughout the plant in both indoor and outdoor environments on equipment such as: Control systems: Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), I/O multiplexers Environmental monitoring: Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) Field instrumentation: transmitters, gauges, switches, analyzers, transducers, and ultrasonic flow measurement devices Control components: pneumatic and digital valve controllers and positioners, associated tubing, and wiring -Use technical drawings and system documentation to solve problems and keep systems performing at their best. Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical manuals to support maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two years’ post-secondary electronics school or equivalent training and one year experience in a related field
  • M echanical aptitude and a willingness to develop working knowledge of all major power plant systems and components.
  • Basic computer skills for daily operations and documentation.
  • Obtain a passing result from the applicable pre-employment test(s)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic control and computer systems used in industrial or power generation settings.
  • F amiliarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and related control systems.
