About The Position

The position involves performing qualifications and maintenance on laboratory instrumentation for Eurofins Scientific, a leader in analytical testing services. The role requires strong technical skills to ensure the readiness and functionality of various instruments, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. The position is based in Indianapolis, IN, and operates Monday to Friday, with potential overtime as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in physical science (chemistry, physics, etc.), or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Perform qualifications on instruments not located in laboratories controlled by Lancaster personnel
  • Document qualifications on laboratory instrumentation (i.e. HPLC, GC, KF, UV-Vis, etc.)
  • Perform urgent/priority repairs including user accessible consumables (i.e. lamps, pumps, seals, tubing, etc.)
  • Develop pipette PMs, calibrations, and repairs
  • Verify system readiness for open access instruments
  • Execute scheduled and post-maintenance instrument qualifications
  • Troubleshoot routine instrument issues (limited to calibration issues)
  • Assist in testing activities during instrument upgrades
  • Report on metrics and appropriately document service on instruments
  • Escort vendors on-site to perform maintenance activities on instruments on contract
