Our programs support multiple Federal agencies, including the Department of Defense. We are seeking an Instrumentation Technician (I) to support our customer’s operations at Nellis AFB, NV. This effort provides our Government customer with aircraft instrumentation systems support. This position will be on-site and will require an active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Experience evaluating, upgrading, modifying, and operating instrumentation systems prior, during and post operational missions. This experience shall include integration, functional checkouts, and mission data capture activities.
  • Experience coordinating instrumentation requirements, schedules, work plans and other functions between the Operations division and Aircraft Maintenance Unit to verify mission readiness.
  • Experience providing technical leadership to other technicians and support personnel.
  • High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years’ general aircraft maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Must possess the ability to plan, develop, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain one-of-a-kind airborne instrumentation systems and upgrade their capabilities based on application of emerging technology in aircraft such as, but not limited to, F-15E, F-16, F-22, and F-35.
  • Possess the ability to perform calibration and troubleshooting for installed instrumentation systems, including video recording, digital data recording, weapon function monitoring, and other data collection systems.
  • Possess practical knowledge of electronic principles and practices and skill in the use of various pieces of electronic test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, PLA/PLC programmers, telemetry systems, spectrum analyzers, oscillators, amplifiers, and power supplies.
  • Possess the skill to interpret technical data such as drawings, schematics, blueprints, and specifications of complete electronic systems.
  • Possess the skill to control electronic data collection systems using nonconventional modification hardware and understand their capabilities and plan, develop, construct, and integrate new devices into the system to perform multiple tasks not previously associated with aerospace and/or other test and evaluation system capabilities.
  • Possess practical knowledge in support of modification, and operations activities the Contractor shall move, store or load instrumentation systems, conduct system functional checks, cockpit integrity checks, data uploads/downloads, and mission configurations.
  • Possess the ability to coordinate and work with operating personnel in related fields and test support personnel as required and to plan, accomplish, and analyze test results.
  • Possess the ability to coordinate data reduction and analyze data to ensure instrumentation compatibility with data reduction capabilities and to monitor the validity of data and operational dependability of instrumentation.
