Instrumentation System Design Engineer
About The Position

The Product Integrity Group plays a key role in keeping up the standards. Through work with the team you will have the outstanding opportunity to impact products all across Apple, because here new insights have a way of becoming phenomenal products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. We are looking for an engineer to design, develop and deploy calibration and test instrumentation systems for Apple's outstanding products. This engineer will work closely with multi-functional groups (Design, ME, EE, SW, Ops, etc.) throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase to ensure the success of current and future Apple products. You will develop the design specification, bring up, validation and deployment of automated instrumentation to calibrate and test Apple's products through NPI and mass production. Self-motivated, self-reliant, and confident in working independently in an exciting, factory environment.
Requirements

- Experience and strong background in control system and signal processing
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to handle many priorities across teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Graduate studies in aforementioned subject areas
- Professional experience in design, development, debug, validation and working with electro-mechanical systems
- Understanding of test principles, GRR, experience with test automation and optimization
- Experience analyzing and processing large data sets
- Domestic and international travel may be required (up to 10%)
- Experience in high volume consumer electronics manufacturing
- Experience with data processing tools - plotting, processing and mining data
- Experience or deep understanding of AI/ML modeling
