About The Position

The Structural Instrumentation Test Engineer position at Leidos involves performing structural qualification testing on large aerospace hardware, with a focus on assembly, integration, and testing activities. The role requires extensive experience in instrumentation and data acquisition systems, as well as the ability to manage test planning and execution in a challenging environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of related experience in aerospace or structural testing.
• Extensive understanding of instrumentation including strain gauges, load cells, pressure transducers, and displacement transducers.
• Experience with Data Acquisition Systems, specifically HBM/HBK hardware and Catman Enterprise software.
• Basic knowledge of network and IT administration, including IP address setup and software debugging.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to work well with cross-functional teams including design engineers and project management.
• Experience operating multiple systems under high-pressure environments.
• Familiarity with MOOG Control systems and video systems, particularly Avigilon software and hardware.
• Experience with high-speed video cameras, preferably Phantom.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, integration, and test activities for space structures, systems, and hardware.
• Conduct test planning, execution, scheduling, and resource management.
• Emphasize data acquisition systems and instrumentation during testing.
• Work in both office and test stand environments.
