About the position

The technician is responsible for providing operational and technical support for various electrical, instrumentation, control systems, and related equipment. Responsibilities include compliance with ONEOK ESH policies and governmental regulations, installation, commissioning, operation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and maintenance of various equipment such as instrumentation, control valves, fire and gas detection systems, flow computers, gas analyzers, and more. The technician will also maintain and modify records, operate company vehicles, complete training requirements, and provide leadership to less senior technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with ONEOK ESH policies and governmental regulations
  • Install, commission, operate, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain various equipment including instrumentation, control valves, fire and gas detection systems, flow computers, gas analyzers, ESD and safety interlock systems, SCADA systems, PLC and DCS, HMI and HMI work stations, OT networks, Modbus networks, pneumatic instrumentation, emission control devices, compressors, pumps, medium and low voltage equipment, and lighting systems
  • Maintain and/or modify records including maintenance and repair records, incident reporting, mechanical/electrical schematics, commissioning documentation, and management of change
  • Perform Department of Transportation covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline
  • Operate and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles
  • Complete training requirements set forth by ONEOK
  • Provide leadership/mentorship to less senior technicians
  • Perform additional functions as directed by leadership

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Electrical apprenticeship/license or industrial instrumentation related associates degree preferred
  • Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including hand/power tools and electronic testing devices
  • Experience and training related to gas processing fundamentals, computers and I&E related software, governmental rules, regulations, and (electric) codes and standards
  • Experience reading and interpreting repair orders, electrical drawings, procedures, charts, diagrams, dials, gauges, and equipment manuals
  • Experience preparing, processing, or verifying maintenance and repair records, safety reports, electrical schematics and diagrams, and material and supply orders
