About The Position

The Instrumentation Electric & Control Specialist is responsible for the skilled technical work involving the installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation, control, communication, and electrical equipment in various facilities such as water plants and pump stations. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience or training in the maintenance and repair of electrical or electronic systems and equipment.
• A valid Kansas Driver's license.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Graduation from electrical or electronic trade school.
• Associates of Electrical or Electronic Technology.
• Completion of 3/5 year Electrician Apprentice program.
• A journeyman electrical certificate.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, repairs, and adjusts electric motors, switches, wiring, fuses, and transformers.
• Uses electrical testing devices to diagnose and resolve problems in electrical systems and equipment.
• Installs, inspects, analyzes, maintains, and repairs various types of electrical equipment and electronic control systems, including PLCs and SCADA components.
• Calibrates electronic meters and instruments.
• Performs required quality control and maintenance for on-line instrumentation.
• Troubleshoots communications and instrumentation problems.
• Advises in the development of specifications and drawings.
• Coordinates and inspects installations and repairs by contractors.
