About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of experience or training in the maintenance and repair of electrical or electronic systems and equipment.
  • A valid Kansas Driver's license.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need of sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation from electrical or electronic trade school.
  • Associates of Electrical or Electronic Technology.
  • Completion of 3/5 year Electrician Apprentice program.
  • A journeyman electrical certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, maintains, repairs, and adjusts electric motors, switches, wiring, fuses, and transformers.
  • Uses electrical testing devices to diagnose and resolve problems in electrical systems and equipment.
  • Installs, inspects, analyzes, maintains, and repairs various types of electrical equipment and electronic control systems, including PLCs and SCADA components.
  • Calibrates electronic meters and instruments.
  • Performs required quality control and maintenance for on-line instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoots communications and instrumentation problems.
  • Advises in the development of specifications and drawings.
  • Coordinates and inspects installations and repairs by contractors.
