About The Position

We are seeking a talented Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer to join our team, focusing on the integration and implementation of control systems and instrumentation for water and wastewater treatment plants. The ideal candidate will play a leadership role in at jobsites optimizing equipment integration and ensuring regulatory compliance through effective control strategies and instrumentation solutions. Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.

Requirements

  • 5+ years as an I&C engineer
  • Proven field experience in instrumentation and controls for water and wastewater treatment plants or similar industrial settings.
  • Semiconductor industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Proficiency with Rockwell & Siemens software suites and communications protocols

Responsibilities

  • Configure and commission instrumentation and control systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Perform system analysis to determine the best instrumentation and control strategies to optimize plant operations.
  • Documented reporting of (1) site progress for project management teams and (2) equipment deficiency reporting and punch lists to design and QA/QC teams.
  • Adhere to detailed specifications for process control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems.
  • Develop and maintain control logic, programming, and documentation for automation systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies for ensuring system reliability and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, codes, and regulations concerning instrumentation and control systems.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including system configuration documents, and operational procedures.
  • Conduct site surveys and inspections to evaluate existing systems and identify areas for improvement or upgrades.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and best practices in instrumentation and control for water and wastewater treatment processes.
