In this role, you will have the opportunity to create relationships with clients in the Northern California area and act as a liaison between the local design team, client and remote design teams. You will manage and coordinate marketing, planning, design and construction phase services for automation, instrumentation, control and SCADA projects for water and wastewater utilities.

  • Manage and coordinate marketing, planning, design and construction phase services for automation, instrumentation, control and SCADA projects for water and wastewater utilities.
  • Lead execution and take overall responsibility for I&C design projects as well as coordinate I&C engineering efforts for large multi-discipline projects.
  • Provide local interface by attending client and contractor meetings, performing field investigations, attending factory acceptance testing and helping to resolve I&C client and construction issues.
  • Monitor and control project schedule and budgets and assist with proposals and presentations in response to sales opportunities.
  • Support multiple Water and Wastewater and Hydro engineering projects with advanced engineering solutions and technical challenges.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing or equivalent experience in engineering work.
  • Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
  • Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries, and supports where necessary.
  • 4 years of experience in instrumentation, control, and automation design consulting.
  • 4 years of experience in water/wastewater industry.
  • 2 years of experience in project management and business development.
  • Experienced with control system component selection and application for distributed control or SCADA systems such as Allen-Bradley PLC, Modicon Schneider Electric, Emerson Ovation, ABB 800xA, or similar.
  • Experienced with network diagrams, instrument device schedules, Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID), instrument schedules, input/output lists, instrument installation details, instrument loop diagrams, control narratives and technical specifications.
  • Experienced with coordinating multi-discipline workflow process to meet budget and schedule goals.
