About The Position

This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality gas processing equipment, modular skids, and integrated systems by providing overall project definition, design leadership, and cross-functional coordination. The position is responsible for developing and specifying the Instrumentation and Control Systems for assigned projects, ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient operation. Through technical excellence and attention to detail, this role directly contributes to GasTech Engineering’s mission to be the highest value-added provider of energy equipment solutions for the markets and customers we serve. Responsible for preparing the Instrument, Controls, and Electrical (ICE) engineering, design data, and calculations for equipment and systems. Responsible for generation of P&ID bills of material (BOM’s), and/or ISA datasheets. Responsible for generation of the Electrical and Control systems portions of projects. As required, participate in and contribute to project proposal preparation including P&ID development. Assist in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and/or performance testing of GasTech manufactured systems in the shop as well as providing field assistance, overseeing field installations, commissioning, and start-up. Assist in the Check-out of Control Systems and panels at the 3rd Vendor’s facility. Prepare and review PLC/DCS programs. Responsible for generation of electrical control panel design, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams. Working directly with the Shop or Outsourced Suppliers on the construction of equipment.

Requirements

  • The position requires a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical, or equivalent.
  • Advanced technical proficiency with Electrical and Controls Design software programs and technical tools, as well as Microsoft Office software is required.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail while remaining creative and innovative is required.
  • The ability to competently communicate regarding the resources process and electrical concepts to both internal and external customers is required.
  • Must possess the ability to maintain sustained attention and concentration while performing detailed technical work.
  • Must possess the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment requiring consistent focus and accuracy.
  • Must possess the ability to perform work that requires a high level of attention to detail over extended periods of time.

  • Previous experience with manufacturing shop operations is preferred.
