About The Position

MAPEI is seeking an Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to join the site maintenance team, reporting to the Maintenance Manager. This role will support the Polymer plant and other production units by executing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks on instrumentation, controls, electrical, and mechanical systems. The role will also provide expertise for projects, hazard reviews, management of change workflows, and incident investigations. Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot shutdowns and perform corrective maintenance to restore equipment/plant operations. Perform preventative maintenance on instrumentation and electrical systems. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and customer requirements. Serve as a subject matter expert on permitting for instrumentation and electrical matters. Create energy control plans, conduct lockout/tagout, and supervise contractors. Plan, schedule, and execute installations, calibration, and validation of instrumentation systems, including control valves, actuators, hard-wired systems, and analyzers. Maintain and troubleshoot PLC/DCS and electrical systems (motors, generators, UPS, etc.). Ensure SIS annual testing requirements are met and evaluate process control logic. Follow safety policies and immediately report safety incidents and near misses. Perform tasks according to the Business Management System (BMS) and comply with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements. Other duties as required. Position Specific Details: Base hourly payrate up from $40-$43 p/hr, based on experience. Additional premium shift differential: $1.00 p/hr for 2nd shift and $2.00 p/hr for 3rd shift, if applicable. Qualifications: HS diploma (or GED equivalent); required Manufacturing maintenance experience a plus. Proficiency in AC/DC circuits, VFD drives, motor control, and PLC control.   • Use of safety gear as needed.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and CMMS systems.
