About The Position

You will assist in the implementation and commissioning of control system solutions with the guidance of experienced engineers on various aspects of control systems, including programming, hardware setup, and field support. Support the development and modification of PLC programs (Allen Bradley ControlLogix) and HMI interfaces. You will also assist with configuring plant computers, database communications, and network connections for secure system integration. Participate in testing and troubleshooting of control panels, instrumentation, and plant systems. Provide support during process simulation testing, plant commissioning, and system startup, including parameter tuning and equipment checks. In addition you will collaborate with teams to configure field instrumentation and ensure proper operation. Learn the air separation process to better implement control logic solutions. Assist in preparing technical documentation such as panel drawings and control inputs for P&IDs. Lastly you will gain experience working with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, suppliers, plant operators, and customers.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering in Chemical, Mechanical, Biomedical, or Instrumentation and Controls.
  • Preferable to have a Computer Science background or minor, and previous programming experience.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office software, Outlook, Excel, etc.
  • Must be able to travel domestically 25% per year, with durations of up to 3 weeks but typically trips of a few days to 2 weeks.
