About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer II (IC&E) to support maintenance planning, work aids development, and equipment strategy execution. This role requires the ability to cover both Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) responsibilities as well as Electrical engineering support related to maintenance programs and reliability initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical capability combined with effective communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. A Project Management background is a significant plus. Target Start Date: ASAP

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related engineering discipline), or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
  • Experience with selection, application, and ISA data sheet specification of: Pressure, temperature, and level instruments Control valves Shutdown valves Fire and gas detection systems
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools such as: SAP Analytics for Excel Tableau
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, especially for technical and business communication

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed internally and by contractors/sub-contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines aligned with project goals, objectives, and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication between the Project Team and other company functions regarding discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues.
  • Demonstrate strong technical expertise along with sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analyze maintenance records to determine: Instrument failure rates Availability and reliability calculations Bad actor and failure modes identification Program effectiveness and cost analysis
  • Develop and execute process control surveillance programs
  • Collect and trend process data using company process historian databases and visualization software tools
  • Perform process control philosophy and stability reviews, including control logic updates and loop tuning
  • Conduct criticality assessments and develop equipment strategies/maintenance plans for instrumentation and control systems, considering: Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments Industry standards Regulatory requirements Manufacturer recommendations
