Are you ready to take your engineering skills to the next level? EPCOR is hiring a full-time Instrumentation and Controls Engineer I or II at our Sandow Water Treatment Plant in Lexington, TX. This is your opportunity to ensure secure and reliable operations of advanced process control systems that power essential water and wastewater facilities.

  • Provide day-to-day support for operations personnel to ensure process control systems meet operational requirements efficiently and reliably.
  • Lead the design, review, and implementation of process control systems.
  • Oversee and coordinate contractor installations of process control equipment; manage occasional contractor projects including scoping and bidding.
  • Identify and purchase equipment needed for ongoing process control system maintenance and improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with the Instrumentation & Controls team to develop and implement company standards and industry best practices.
  • Two years of experience with design, programming, commissioning, and maintenance of process control systems.
  • Associate degree in Engineering, Industrial Automation, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience programming and configuring PLCs and HMIs with minimal assistance.
  • Understanding of IP networking, SQL databases, Windows Server and Domain management, or command line applications such as Telnet.
  • Comfortable working on electrical systems, reading schematics, and using multimeters and process meters.
  • Cybersecurity knowledge including familiarity with firewalls and network segmentation concepts such as DMZ is a plus.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Wonderware HMIs is preferred.
  • Experience providing field support and using data communication networks such as Ethernet/IP or radio telemetry is a plus.
