About The Position

Burrow Global, a leader in engineering and construction services, is looking for a highly skilled Instrument Tube Fitter to join our dynamic team in Beaumont or Pasadena, Texas. If you are an expert in installing, maintaining, and repairing small-diameter tubing systems used for instrumentation and process control, we want to hear from you!

Requirements

• Proficient in using hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, pipe cutters, and other precision instruments.
• Strong knowledge of various tubing materials (stainless steel, copper, nylon) and their appropriate joining methods.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Understanding of pressure, flow dynamics, and instrumentation system requirements.
• Dexterity to work with small components and in confined spaces.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined areas, such as within plant facilities.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and strong visual acuity for precise measurements and installations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately lay out and install instrument tubing systems.
• Measure, cut, and thread small-diameter tubing using specialized tools such as tube cutters, benders, and swaging machines.
• Assemble tubing sections with fittings, including unions, elbows, tees, and adapters, using methods like brazing, welding, or compression fittings.
• Install support structures for tubing runs, including brackets, hangers, and supports to ensure the proper alignment and integrity of the systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on installed tubing systems to ensure optimal functionality.
• Repair and replace damaged or faulty tubing, ensuring systems are back up and running with minimal downtime.
• Test completed installations for integrity, pressure, and leak prevention.
• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of tubing systems within larger projects.
• Ensure all installations comply with relevant standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
