About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs instrument processing activities, decontamination,
assembly, sterilization (steam and plasma) and restocking of instruments to
remote locations to insure availability to areas providing direct patient care.
Ensures that personal performance and service quality levels meet or exceed
customer expectations and perceptions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
• Completion of medical terminology after hire
• Ability to operate (preferred): ultrasonic washer, steam autoclave, washer-sterilizer, washer-decontaminator
• Bloodborne pathogen - C
• Constant exposure to bloodborne pathogens, communicable diseases, steam, sharp punctures and stress.
• Heavy lifting required, bending, pushing supply and instrument carts, standing for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Working to obtain national certification encouraged.
• Instrument processing experience preferred.
