About The Position

We are searching for compassionate and energetic individuals to join our team. We are seeking a PRN Sterile Processing Tech located in our mid-town Charlotte surgery center . Carolina Center for Specialty Surgery is our ambulatory surgery center. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of related experience. This position requires excellent teamwork and dependability.

Requirements

  • Acquires and demonstrates knowledge of the cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies for the surgical suite under the supervision of the OR manager.
  • Assists in maintaining a safe working environment within Infection Control, AORN, and AAMI guidelines.
  • Performs procedures for the care, preparation, packaging, sterilization and storage of instruments and supplies according to written procedures and guidelines.
  • Distributes operating room instruments, supplies and equipment within the operating room according to par levels and needs.
  • Maintains knowledge of Biological Challenges to sterilization processes and demonstrates competency in use and documentation
  • Maintains standards of stock rotation.
  • Attends in-service educational offerings.
  • Performs necessary errands throughout the center.
  • Responds to routine requests.
  • Complies with all our processes and HIPAA regulations.
  • Applies our values in decision-making and interactions with all individuals.
  • Promotes a positive work environment through effective teamwork.
  • Other duties as assigned by changing needs, patient flow, or physician request
