About The Position

We are searching for compassionate and energetic individuals to join our team. We are seeking a PRN Sterile Processing Tech located in our mid-town Charlotte surgery center . Carolina Center for Specialty Surgery is our ambulatory surgery center. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of related experience. This position requires excellent teamwork and dependability.

Requirements

Acquires and demonstrates knowledge of the cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies for the surgical suite under the supervision of the OR manager.
Assists in maintaining a safe working environment within Infection Control, AORN, and AAMI guidelines.
Performs procedures for the care, preparation, packaging, sterilization and storage of instruments and supplies according to written procedures and guidelines.
Distributes operating room instruments, supplies and equipment within the operating room according to par levels and needs.
Maintains knowledge of Biological Challenges to sterilization processes and demonstrates competency in use and documentation
Maintains standards of stock rotation.
Attends in-service educational offerings.
Performs necessary errands throughout the center.
Responds to routine requests.
Complies with all our processes and HIPAA regulations.
Applies our values in decision-making and interactions with all individuals.
Promotes a positive work environment through effective teamwork.
Other duties as assigned by changing needs, patient flow, or physician request
