About The Position

Under the supervision of the Department Management to assist and provide the surgical team as directed, care for the ordering of supplies and care for the instruments and equipment in surgery.

Requirements

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Communication skills necessary to perform the job effectively: Communicate with team members Communicate message interdepartmentally and interdepartmentally Communicate during emergency and stressful situations
• Computer usage.
• Able to read and write legibly.
• Analytical skills necessary to solve problems regarding some of the tasks.
• Ability to concentrate and prioritize, plan and perform to resolve problems and interact with patients, families, surgical staff and other team members.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains open communication with management, the surgical team and interdepartmental staff.
• Maintains inventory of sterile supplies.
• Cooperatively assists the nursing staff to provide a continuum of effective nursing care.
• Effectively performs duties of Center Core.
