About The Position

National Educational Music Company (NEMC) is growing, and we’re excited to add an experienced full-time Instrument Repair Technician to our team! This is a full-time, hourly, in-person role at our locations in New Jersey, Connecticut, or Texas. Signing bonuses or relocation assistance available for strong candidates.

Requirements

• Prior experience as an instrument repair technician (required)
• An organized, motivated self-starter who takes ownership of their work
• A strong customer-service mindset and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Repair rental fleet instruments and customer-owned instruments with care and precision
• Diagnose damage, mechanical issues, and performance problems across a wide range of instruments
• Complete repairs efficiently while meeting established turnaround times
• Estimate repair time and costs in line with company pricing and market standards
• Keep tools and equipment in safe, working order—and flag any safety concerns
• Document repair work and time accurately
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop
• Provide friendly, professional service to music educators, school staff, students, dealers, and teammates
• Pitch in with other tasks as needed to keep our service department running smoothly
