About The Position

We are currently searching for an experienced Instrument Person to support our Midwest Region located in Collinsville, IL. The Instrument Person reports to the Party Chief and is responsible for assisting with field surveying activities, including maintenance of survey equipment. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a desire and willingness to learn land surveying. This is an entry level position that will require some overnight travel and working outside in all weather conditions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of surveying is preferred
• Safety oriented
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment
• Valid driver’s license
• A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)

Responsibilities

• Must be physically able to work long hours and carry heavy loads
• Possess effective written and oral communication skills
• Basic computer literacy and math skills
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential requirements
• Must be able to work in inclement weather
• Pass a drug & background test to obtain security badge clearance
