The SR400 Express Lanes Project is a transformative $4.6 billion infrastructure initiative led by SR400 Constructors, a 50/50 joint venture between Flatiron Dragados and ACCIONA. Commissioned by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Georgia State Road Tollway Authority (SRTA), the project will add two 16-mile express lanes from Sandy Springs MARTA Station (Exit 5) to McFarland (Exit 12), enhancing mobility along one of Georgia’s busiest corridors. With a peak workforce of over 500, the project also includes dedicated bus rapid transit stations and key bridge refurbishments. Construction is set to begin in late 2025, with substantial completion anticipated in 2031.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in construction Geomatics, demonstrating ability in using Geomatics tools, including Grade control systems on civil projects.
  • Fundamental understanding of Geomatics software and equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic Geomatics calculations and understand field data collection processes.
  • Effective communication skills to effectively report task outcomes and collaborate with team members.
  • Preferably a diploma or equivalent in a technical field related to surveying or construction technology, supplemented by field training or workshops.
  • Current certifications or licenses in surveying, safety, or related fields are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Geomatics Department by executing field tasks efficiently and in compliance with company standards, contributing to project goals.
  • Mentor and train Geomatics Operator assistants in the proper use and maintenance of Geomatics equipment, fostering a culture of precision, safety, and continuous learning.
  • Work closely under the guidance of the Geomatics Field Manager, ensuring alignment with project requirements and operational protocols.
  • Set up, operate, maintain, and calibrate Geomatics equipment such as total stations, GPS devices, digital levels, and Grade control systems.
  • Perform layout tasks, stakeouts, and perform preliminary checks per project specifications.
  • Communicate with the Geomatics Field Manager for verification of work, ensuring all work adheres to quality and accuracy standards.
  • Continuously improve personal knowledge and proficiency with emerging Geomatics technologies, enhancing field capabilities and operational efficiency.
