About The Position

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Associate degree in Instrumentation or specialized training/technical school and 5+ years of manufacturing/chemical plant maintenance experience as an instrument technician/mechanic, OR 10+ years as Instrument technician/mechanic as a maintenance person (in house or contractor).
  • Proficiency with diagnostic and calibration tools such as TREX, multimeters, and pumps.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and installation of control valves and Coriolis meters.
  • Ability to diagnose circuit, component, and equipment faults accurately.
  • Demonstrated experience rebuilding control valves to restore and enhance operational reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently follow safe work practices, basic maintenance procedures and enthusiastically contribute to a safe work culture.
  • Repair and calibrate flow, pressure, level, temperature and differential pressure transmitters.
  • Repair and tune various types of controllers associated with process instrumentation.
  • Install or remove both field and panel mounted equipment.
  • Remove, repair and calibrate pneumatic and DVC actuated control valves.
  • Install and set pressure, temperature, flow, level switches and monitoring devices and ensure that they operate properly.
  • Perform PMs on various process instruments; including dry additive feeders.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures, analyze process conditions and impacts in order to recommend improvements for chronic reliability problems.
  • Work in a manner that improves and enhances teamwork, plant organization and efficiency.
